Fly-in planning: We are "famous" for BBQ so we will stay with that menu.
BBQ'd Boston Butts, slaw, baked beans, Dennis' wife's wonderful potato salad, Dennis and Wayne will take care of BBQ sauce, Chicken bog for non-BBQ participants, and chocolate chip cookies for good measure.
Drinks: sweet tea, Mountin Dew, and one regular Coke for Ron.
Loris cold storage will handle the cooking this year while our local experts supply the sauce.
We have sandwich board signs for the road. Doug will create some directional signs to direct folks from the door to the pig.
All members able to meet at the hanger for cleaning and pig pulling on Friday, Oct 31st, please join us at 4:00pm.
Jesse will request the use of the CAP folding chairs, update flyers and send to all, and update the post card file and send to Dennis to print.
This year we will have a drawing for the fly-in airplanes. We will enter each tail number into the pool and pull one winner for up to 20 gallons of avgas.
Officer elections were held today and all officers will remain in their positions.
Location for our meetings:
Changes at the Conway airport FBO are less than welcoming for the Chapter meetings (we're meeting in the lobby today).
Doug has offered his new T-hanger as a meeting space.
The airport conference room might be a good option when the weather gets too extreme for hanging out in a hanger.
A quick vote indicated that about half are happy staying here in Conway. This will probably need a bit more thought and conversation.
Ron has a Lancair 360 that will make a great Chapter project.
Chapter membership dues need to be in by the November meeting. Dues remian at $20 per year for all members.
Area Fly-ins / Events:
The Colings foundation B-17, B-24, and P-51 will be at Florance airport Oct. 20 – 22 then in Charleston until the 24th.
Adjourned meeting.
